NJB Spring Registration will be held on Saturday February 18th at Sharon Elementary School from 9am – Noon.  Players ages 4-15 are eligible to sign up for 2012.  Player fees will range from $75 to $115, depending on the league/age group.

Registration forms will be sent out throughout the Warrick County Schools and posted online during the first week of February.

We will also be offering Online Registration this year.  This will be available for the entire month of February.  We will be posting more information about this soon, please check back for more information.

Tryouts for the CHS Cub Team will be sometime in February.   We will try and work around the 7^th and 8^th grade Castle feeder basketball teams.

This baseball team is for all future Castle High School students only. You must be in the 7^th or 8^th grade to tryout. You can only play on this team and an NJB league team this spring. We will have two or three days of tryouts, but you must be at the first one to get invited back to the second and third one.

All Games are on Sundays and at the high schools of the teams playing.  Games will start around the end of March.  Make-up games will be up to the coaches to reschedule.  You must use a BBCOR bat (-3) in the cub league.

Castle High School Baseball will be offering a Winter Baseball Clinic for players from 3rd to 8th grade this year.  Clinics begin on Sunday November 13th through March 11th 2012. Visit the CHS Winter Baseball Clinic Page for more info and a full schedule.

This clinic will be focused on working on the fundamentals for each player over the winter to help increase their knowledge of the game and performance throughout the year.

Please check before you attend for any date or time changes for the clinic.

All leagues at Vann and Mulzer will be having a work day on Saturday October 1st beginning at 8 am.  Please come out and help with closing down the fields for the season.  All coaches from the 2011 season are asked to come out and help.  Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

The 2011 Fall Ball Schedules have been posted.  Please visit the Schedules Page to view each league.  Games will begin on Sunday August 21st or Monday August 22nd for all leagues.  Good luck to all teams and make sure to call the Rain Out Hotline @ 319-3480 for any delays or cancellations.

Fall Ball Work Day will be held on Sat., Aug. 13 at both Vann Road and Mulzer.  Work will begin at 8:00am.  All managers and coaches should be present.  Any additional help would be appreciated.

High School Fall Ball League Has Been Cancelled

Due to a low number of registrations, the High School Fall Ball league that plays at Castle High School will not be held this year.  Refunds will be processed and mailed to those that have already paid.

Teams for all other leagues will be formed this weekend or early next week.

Babe Ruth Tournament Trail:

13′s – Blue Crush finished 3rd in Ohio Valley Regional held in Matoon, IL.  They finished 3-2 with wins over Jeffesontown, KY (11-4), Zanesville, OH (9-2) and Somerset-Pulaski, KY (10-0) before falling to Jasper, IN (7-6) and Jeffersontown (12-0).

14′s – Riverbats went 0-2 in the Ohio Valley Regional held in Robinson, IL.  Their losses were to Blue Lick, KY (6-1) and Effingham, IL (6-5).

NJB Teams have produced another great post-season.  Below are some of the most recent updates on how the boys have doing this summer…….

Cal Ripken Tournament Trail:

9′s – Blue Lightning won state and advanced to Ohio Valley Regional in St. John, IN.  They did not advance out of pool play.

10′s – Shockers were eliminated in the semi-finals at state.

11′s – Blue Streak were state champions and placed 2nd in OVR at Galesburg, IL.

12′s – Outlaws won state and were eliminated in the quarter-final round of OVR in Scherrerville, IN.

Babe Ruth tournament trail:

13′s – Blue Crush placed 2nd in state and advanced to OVR starting July 29 in Mattoon, IL.

14′s – Riverbats won state by defeating South Gibson 5-4 on Monday at Mulzer.  They advance to OVR in Robinson, IL starting play on July 29.
